Vegetationoffsets.com is a small experienced team specialising in biodiversity and land management. We identify and assist in management of ecologically significant areas of native vegetation on private land in Victoria using the ‘Net Gain’ framework. We have confirmed assets in several bioregions, and offer a service of identification of specific assets to meet your requirements.

Our long-term goal is to link the most significant vegetation in Australia, our National Parks, together with smaller but significant private land remnant vegetation, ultimately Biolinking the nation.

About Us

Vegetation Offsets is a small company established to connect landholders who own native vegetation with companies who need to aquire vegetation offsets in Victoria. We have a background in both natural resource management, agriculture, and ecology, and can provide a bridge between landholders and a new market for ecosystem services.

Paul brings experience in natural resource management, both in Australia and overseas. Paul has focused on the convergence of carbon sequestration and natural resource management.

Jeroen's has a passion for Natural Resource Management and thorough knowledge of the flora and fauna of Northern Victoria. He has great local knowledge, and is a specialist in implementing practical land management solutions.

Offset Purchaser Services

VegetationOffsets.com is a specialist provider of Habitat Hectares, Victoria’s biodiversity credit system. We have confirmed assets in several bioregions, for a full list you can find an up to date inventory by clicking on the button below. We are securing additional vegetation in other bioregions, so check this site regularly - we can also add you name to an email if you would like to be informed as additional assets become available.

We also offer fee-for-service in the identification and securing of specific EVCs with specific conservation significance. We locate the vegetation, undertake habitat assessments, negotiate with landholders and DSE, and commit to delivering the assets you need quickly and at a reasonable price.

Landholder Services

Many of the most significant areas of native vegetation, particularly within rare vegetation types, are found within private lands. Through the Vicotiran government's net gain program landholders can 'sell' management of this vegetation to organisations who have a requirement for their vegetation type. Landholders who have native vegetation which they would like to sell are invited to register their interest by either calling Paul Dettmann on 0423 944526 or emailing him at paul@vegetationoffsets.com.
